Fusing involves cutting glass into different pieces and heating them in a kiln until they soften and bond into a single piece of glass. Art forms are achieved by selecting and layering glass with different color, opacity and other characteristics. Fused pieces can be shaped and enhanced by additional processes including slumping, screen printing or adding powders and enamels.
